Backstory: Valentina was born in California and lived with her mother and father until she was 6 years old. Her father was a man who enjoyed going out, being with people other than his own family and had relations with many other women. Anthony, when Valentina was just 6, fell in love with another woman and left his family to start a new one with her, forcing Valentina and her mother to be homeless.

Maria tried her hardest to get her daughter everything she needed. They were living in a homeless shelter to keep warm and safe. When Valentina was 8, her mother went out to search for cans and bottles for recycle and she found a teddy bear on the side of a road. The bear was left for a man who was in an accident. After paying her respects, she went back to the shelter to see the young Valentina with a big smile on her face. She gave the bear to her daughter and little Valentina went to go show her friends. When she turned 11, her mother passes away due to infections and illness. Valentina is then taken to an adoption center and is there until she is 16 when a older couple adopts her. Mary and Paul Leroy teach the girl basic things, sends her to school and even sign her up for online classes so she can catch up with her education. She falls in love with art and drawing and is given classes. She started to sell artwork and commissions when she turned 18 and moved out by the time she was 20. She moved to Washington and worked as a waitress and an artist, being able to have her own apartment.
